We recently discussed why the UK loves pets and how it is worth billions to the UK economy. But one of the most important things about having a pet is making sure they are healthy and happy.
Everyone knows that pets bring joy and happiness to individuals & families; how often do you see children running in parks with dogs or elderly walking round town with their beloved pet.
Animals provide a great service for people of all ages and it is because of that emotional bond that animals are well treated and looked after. How often have you seen animals been given treats for just being themselves?
It is because of this strong attachment that animals must be cared for by their owners to great extent, how many adverts have you seen offering all different types of pet insurance in case the worst should happen?
This is where our new Course of the Month comes into it all. This month’s course of the month is our Veterinary Nursing Course.
This course focuses on teaching students everything from first aid to surgical and medical nursing. Our Veterinary Nursing Course is designed for anyone who has an interest in looking after their own animals or who are thinking about considering a career in animal care.
Whilst the majority of animals are healthy throughout their lives, pets do need check-ups, jabs and they can suffer from a range of problems through no fault of their own, it is important to know that there is someone who is able to look after their pet and nurse them back to health.
Caring for animals is a rewarding job because not only will you see the changes and benefits in the animal itself and it is getting better, but also the owners of their pet will be equally happy that they are back to themselves.
As well as our Veterinary Nursing course, we have a range of other animal care courses including;
Pet Grooming Advanced Course
Teaches you how to excel at grooming for cats, dogs and small pets.
Animal Care
Whether you are thinking of beginning a career in the animal industry, this course is a great introduction for caring about a range of animals from Cats and Dogs to Rabbits, Horses and Reptiles.
Animal Health
Caring for animals is rewarding both for you and the owner of the pet, so being able to notice the signs of ill health, Ticks etc. that pets attract over time.
Equine Energy Therapy
This course is to give you a firm foundation in your understanding of not only how to give healing to horses and understanding their energy systems but also, for you to learn about other influences in the horse’s life and living environment that can have an effect not only on the healing but also their personalities and physical body.
oh im definately interested in doing one of these animal courses in the future!
fantastic! I think I may enrol on the vet nurse course, though it’s a shame there’s no practical days involved, though I suppose there’s nothing stopping me from asking to shadow my local vet? I’m eagerly anticipating some canine psychology courses as well hint hint
Animal courses definitely have wide appeal – good choices!
The Veterinary Nursing Course looks very good and is certainly something i am interested in
These are great but I would love to see a Dog Obedience Trainer course, I would definitely enrol on that!
Ive just enrolled in the dog grooming course and im very excited about it, i cant wait to start. Would love to have a group on facebook for all the people doing this course.
I’ve enrolled on many animal courses over the years, and every one of them has been worth it. I also do my bit by making a regular charity donation to animal welfare groups. I think one thing that courses like this can really assist in, is volunteering at your local animal shelter! There’s no better feeling than making sure those poor animals are comfortable. Thank you for posting though, I’ll definitely be taking a look at this course. It seems very interesting!
the veterinary nursing course is fab, i love it im on the final exam and loved every bit of it. well worth it. i want to work with animals

I hope Stonebridge will add more courses in Holistic Healing for animals, like Shiatsu for dogs/cats, etc..
