If you’d like to study science at university but lack the grades for entry, all is not lost. An Access to HE Diploma is equivalent to A Level study. Expanding on your relevant knowledge and preparing you for university-level study. Should you achieve high grades you’ll receive a qualification worth the same UCAS points as 3 As at A Level.

Although the overwhelming majority of universities accept the Access to Higher Education Diplomas, some do not. Always double-check before enrolling to make sure you’re meeting the entry requirements of your desired institute.
