This Level 3 Adult Care RQF Diploma is the perfect qualification for anyone looking to practise care in any social care setting, including residential care, domiciliary and hospice care, as well as assisted living.
Working in adult care is a fulfilling and rewarding career choice for those who want to help the most disadvantaged people in society.
The Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care will be proof of your knowledge, skills and competency to work in varied social care environments. You will explore a range of topics from wellbeing to mental health, personal development to equality and inclusion, along with issues relating directly to care, such as infection prevention and control, pain management and social prescribing.
As part of the assessment for this qualification, you will be required to undergo direct observation in a suitable environment.
Recognised by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), this qualification will suit anyone who is already working in social care that wants a relevant diploma to help them develop in-depth knowledge of health and social care or progress their career.
To pass this adult care Level 3 online course, you will need to obtain a work placement in a social care setting. You will need to spend approximately 100 hours in a real work environment. During your placement, an assessor will visit your workplace at least once and evaluate your performance based on a personalised plan. The plan will be available beforehand to inform you of the benchmarks your assessor will be checking.
You do not need any prior qualifications or professional experience to enrol on this course.
At the end of this adult care course, you will be able to demonstrate applied knowledge within support work, senior care, hospice-based assisted living, community care, private domiciliary care, or even progress into management and strategic roles.
A sure path to progression is a willingness to learn and the right qualifications. You can choose to study further, take a closer interest in a specific category of adult care, or attend a higher education institution. This Level 3 qualification in adult care will prove to any employer that you are willing to step outside of your comfort zone and gain the qualifications you deserve to reach the next stage in your career.
Once you have completed this distance learning course, you will be a good fit for a number of adult care jobs, such as:
Learners who successfully complete their course will receive an TQUK Ofqual accredited Level 3 Adult Care Diploma with 59 credits (Qualification reference number = 610/0498/4).
Learners will need to produce full and articulate answers to questions - as this is a Level 3 qualification, learners will need to have a good standard of written and verbal communication skills (written skills, for example, would need to be at Level 2+).
Learners must be age 16+ to enrol.
You can cancel/pause your study at anytime. This means that if your personal circumstances change (time available to study, financial pressures etc.), you can cancel/pause your study and payments. If you decide to return to your studies at a later date, you can simply reactivate your subscription and continue from where you left off (we will save all your course progress). Using our subscription service you are not tied into a credit agreement.
You will be assessed through a combination of observations, case studies, witness statements, written questions, and discussions.
Learners must be working in a care environment (whether that is employed, or they are on a temporary placement), and they must have a supervisor or manager who can verify their work when necessary (as per the criteria). Please note: The term verify does not mean the same as 'signing work off' - it is someone who can confirm that the learner did what they are saying they did. Our assessor will make the judgement as to whether the work submitted meets the criteria. If on a placement it must be for at least 50 hours, over a period of time in their studies.
Learners should be asked if they have a Placement agreed. They will need to upload this in assignment 1.
Direct observations in the workplace are required with this course. Our assessors will organise observations as necessary, with learners.
