Studying Your Diploma

If you currently work with cats or you’d like to as part of a new career, then gaining the knowledge needed to properly care for them is essential.

Cats are sensitive creatures both in temperament and physiology so understanding their behaviour, habits, nutritional needs and how to handle them correctly.

On completion of this unit you will:

  • Understand how to provide environmental enrichment and mental stimulation
  • Understand how to administer preventative and prescriptive medications

Unit 2: Safe Handling and Transportation of Felines

On completion of this unit you will:

  • Understand proper feline handling and transportation
  • Understand the principles of safe handling and transport
  • Understand the use of equipment and records in transport
  • Understand the importance of force-free handling and restraint of cats
  • Understand the techniques that reduce stress during handling and restraint

Unit 3: Feline Care for Different Life Stages

On completion of this unit you will:

  • Know how to groom cats and provide first aid treatments
  • Understand the care and welfare of felines at different stages of life

Unit 4: Feline Physiology and Anatomy

On completion of this unit you will:

  • Gain an understanding of the anatomy and physiology of felines
  • Understand the complex body processes and functions of domestic cats

Unit 5: Feline Development and Evolution

On completion of this unit you will:
