Due to the “fast track” nature of this version of the course we are also able to offer it to learners at a significantly reduced cost to the ordinary version of this course.

There is no greater satisfaction than to care for others, and our Foot Health Practitioner course gives you the opportunity to accomplish this in your own practice. The human foot is one of the most complex and neglected of body parts. Every step we take places 2.5 times our body weight on the 26 bones that make up each foot, and it has been estimated that we walk 3 times around the planet in a lifetime. The foot is highly sensitive, and like any machine part, suffers wear or damage when injured or stressed beyond its capability.

About the Foot Health Practitioner Profession

Here's where you come in. Though there may be little wrong with their feet, circumstances may prevent people looking after them. Arthritis, painful hip joints or stiff knees may put their feet out of reach or prevent use of scissors or nippers. However, others do have problems with their feet, from corns, calluses, verrucae, flat-foot and bunions, to nail conditions and structural defects, many of which can be treated without surgery or medical intervention. Some people just enjoy being pampered or are concerned with maintaining their bodies in optimum condition. All of these people need the help of a Foot Health Practitioner: a professional trained to deliver care and advice either in a private surgery or in the home.

About our Foot Health Course

This course is made up of twelve lessons of theory training, which you complete from the comfort of your own home (this usually takes about 1 week to complete), and two week’s practical training, which is completed at one of our state-of-the-art Foot Health Training Centres. For more information on the practical training, please visit our dedicated Foot Health website at www.foothealthschool.com.

If you would prefer to study the theory element of the course plus two week’s practical training, please click here.

R.F.H.P Accredited Courses

Anyone who is studying for or has completed a course endorsed by an Ofqual approved awarding body is eligible to join Qualifications Register.  The Qualifications Register (QR) is an independent register that aims to serve both members of the public and those professionals who hold recognised qualifications.

QR's primary aim is to provide transparency to members of the public and employers. The QR is a searchable database that allows them to find a practitioner and view the relevant qualification and endorsements the practitioner holds. The member of the public is then able to make an informed decision in relation to the suitability of the practitioner.  QR also tracks whether practitioners have insurance, again something that is useful for members of the public.  QR can also help professionals gain insurance or find professional indemnity cover.  Click here to find out more.

Members of the public can check an independent source with complete confidence that the practitioner has the qualification(s) they claim to have and that any additional CPD the practitioner has, is verified and quality assured to make sure that the CPD is being done on a regular basis. QR tracks a practitioners endorsed CPD (in unison with our CPD accreditation partner Lifetime Awarding) and other key signals to help members of the public and employers to come to a more informed decision about the professional they intend to use. This is an enormously valuable signal that's increasingly important as business becomes more deregulated and privatised.

For practitioners QR helps you market your skills, endorsements and feedback transparently to a wider audience. It also gives you access to a community to help make you more able to progress and succeed in your field of expertise.  Click here to find out more.
