In this course you will learn all about Science, covering the basics of Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
Science is "alive" - it will never be finished. Science is a global venture, every day all over the world, scientists are making new discoveries and challenging what we already know.
Science is such a broad subject, and it requires skills outside of "pure" science. In this course you will learn not only the scientific skills you need, you'll also develop important and valuable transferable skills in areas such as:

Your course starts with two short units that cover everything you need to know about Combined Science, all about the exams, the practical activities, how and when to book your exam, and includes some great advice on how to successfully study online.
You will then cover the fundamentals of Biology, Chemistry and Physics in turn, submitting assignments regularly. Your assignments will be marked by your tutor, who will provide developmental feedback on your progress.
At the end of your course is a full set of mock exams for each syllabus.
When you're ready to book your exams, you will need to choose between the GCSE and the IGCSE.
There are two tiers in GCSE combined science – foundation tier and higher tier. You must take the same tier for all three parts of the triple award, and you must take all exams in the same exam series.
There are a total of six exams, two for each subject, all at 1 hour and 15 minutes in duration.
All GCSE science (biology, chemistry, and physics) students need to complete practical experiments as part of their learning. Eight experiments in Biology and Chemistry; and ten in Physics area are required to equip students with essential practical knowledge and experiences, enable them to put theory into practice and helps develop skills for higher education. Practical assessments are a mandatory part of the assessment process but do not count towards your final grade.
You need to have completed the practical assessments before booking your exam.
There are three exams paper 1 covers Biology, paper 2 covers chemistry and paper 3 covers physics. All exams are two hours and have a mixture of different question styles, including multiple choice, short-answer questions, calculations and extended open-response questions.
GCSE: All six exams are combined to provide your overall score, and your final grade.
If you take the foundation tier, you will be graded between grades 1 and 5.
