Chemistry is a core science discipline that focuses on understanding the elements, atom molecules and ions that make up everything in the universe.
Through your GCSE Chemistry, you’ll explore the atomic structure, bonding and the properties of matter. You will then build up to topics in which these fundamentals are applied such as quantitative chemistry.
You’ll understand how properties, and their behaviours, change as they undergo chemical reactions.
Your GCSE Chemistry will give you a solid base of knowledge that can build on with further study. This could lead to many exciting opportunities for employment in related scientific professions.
This GCSE Chemistry course bundle follows AQA’s guidelines and includes the AQA exam you need to receive your qualification.
There are two written exams that will consist of multiple-choice, short answers and open response questions. You’ll be required to demonstrate a solid understanding of scientific principles, ideologies and application.
The course will help you learn and work towards the necessary qualifications for the next step in a science-related field.
All you need to do is enrol and start studying straight away. Distance learning study is made to fit around your lifestyle and other commitments. The only specific deadline to work towards is your exam – exam sittings are held once per year in May or June.
If you need any help through your learning journey, you can always get in touch with your tutor. They will be able to answer any questions and guide you through any difficulties. Your tutor will also mark your assignments and return them to you with feedback, in order to help you succeed.
At the end of this course, you can decide if you want to take the exam and gain a GCSE Chemistry qualification. You can then use this qualification to support your progression to A level or other science-based qualifications, or to advance in your career.
You must complete at least 50% of the course and pass the associated assignments before you are eligible to be entered for the exams.
The average time it takes to complete the course is 18 months.
