TQUK Level 2 in Falls Prevention Awareness (RQF) is for anyone who could potentially work with those at risk of falling.
This course is especially useful those choosing a career in health and social care where working with vulnerable people is likely.
The course is made up of 4 online units of which 14 credits must be achieved in order to complete the course.
Throughout the course you’ll develop skills in assessing risks and how to prevent a fall from happening. You’ll also gain knowledge and understanding of the impact of falls and the legislation relating to them.
You will be able to educate people with guidance on how to prevent falls themselves. As well as guide them on the best practice when dealing with the consequences.
After completion of the course you’ll have a deeper understanding of fall prevention to utilise in your job role.
To progress further with your training courses in end of life care or understanding mental health would also be beneficial. These courses would further aid you in providing the best care for those in need.

There are no specific entry requirements, however, learners should have a minimum of Level 1 in Literacy and Numeracy or equivalent.
Learners must be age 16+ to enrol.
You have 24 months to complete your course.
Achievement of the qualification includes demonstration of practical skills and confirmation of workplace competence (usually learning outcomes beginning with ‘Be able to’). Portfolio evidence must include observation of learner performance in real work situations

Learners typically receive their certification within 12 weeks, though this can be longer if an EQA sample is required.
All course fees, inclusive of all payment plans including our Premium Credit Limited option, must be settled before certification can be ordered.

The qualification is assessed by internally set and marked assessments subject to external quality assurance.
All learning outcomes which assess knowledge and understanding (usually beginning with ‘Understand’) may be assessed through, for example, internally set and marked written assignments, tasks, records of oral or written questions, work books or other portfolio evidence.
Achievement of the qualification includes demonstration of practical skills and confirmation of workplace competence (usually learning outcomes beginning with ‘Be able to’). Portfolio evidence must include observation of learner performance in real work situations Details of specific requirements and where simulation is /is not permitted is included in the unit specifications.
Materials for internal assessment must be submitted to TQUK for approval prior to use and must be mapped to the relevant unit, learning outcome and assessment criteria.
All learning outcomes and assessment criteria must be met to achieve a pass - there is no grading.
