If you have a passion for helping children with distressed behaviours feel more comfortable, calm, and supported, you can start a rewarding career with this online course.
Many children display distressed behaviours at some point during their development. While most children develop the skills to grow out of this behaviour, some do not and require additional support.
This course will teach you the causes of distressed behaviour, how to manage it, and how to avoid it. You will also learn about the role of mental health, learning disabilities, and other conditions in distressed behaviour, as well as the current legislation that underpins approaches to supporting children with distressed behaviours.
Upon completion of the course, you will be qualified to work in a variety of settings, including schools, hospitals, and social services agencies, where you can use your skills and knowledge to help children with distressed behaviours feel happier and healthier.
Stonebridge Associated Colleges is the UK’s leading online distance learning institute. This allows you to study your course entirely through our learning portal.
You’ll be able to enrol and start learning the very same day. You will also be able to plan your learning around your existing commitments, rather than adhere to a strict timetable.
During your studies, if you need extra support, you’ll be able to contact our team of tutors who can provide you with advice and guidance on the work.
We don’t have term times, just an online portal with all your course material ready and waiting. This course will give you the basics you need to develop a career in education.
