NCFE CACHE Level 2 Certificate in Nutrition and Health (RQF)

The level of obesity in adults and children continues to rise each year. The statistics are startling: World Health Organization experts predict that the vast majority of British people will be overweight by 2030.  75% of men and 66% of women will be officially fat by this date. Of those 33% of women 36% of men will be obese. It is estimated that illnesses associated with poor eating habits are already costing the NHS more than £500 million per year.

We have all heard the old saying “you are what you eat.” and it still holds true. If you stick to a balanced healthy diet full of vitamins and minerals, then your body and appreciates it. You’ll feel stronger, healthier, more energised - better all round.

Those who limit their diet to processed foods undoubtedly suffer the consequences of not giving their bodies what they need to thrive. Fatigue and low energy is not the only result, but poor health as well. Understanding the clear connection between your health and your diet may spur you to make better dietary decisions.
