Crocodiles of the World Placement

Reptile Studies

Crocodiles of the World is the UK's only dedicated crocodile zoo, with 19 species of crocodiles and alligators along with Komodo dragons, Galapagos giant tortoises, meerkats, fishing cats, tamarins, and plenty of lizards and snakes.

Learners get to work for 3 days directly with the animal team, preparing food, feeding and cleaning/maintaining enclosures and enclosure areas.  Whilst learners will not be working directly with any of the crocodilians, this is a great way to experience how a zoo operates, and the fundamentals of animal husbandry for exotic animals.
