About the Sage 50 Accounts – Stage 2 Certificate

This course has been designed to help users of Sage 50 Accounts with entering day-to-day business transactions into the software. It will guide you through the process of maintaining accurate bookkeeping records, extracting the information you need from Sage 50 Accounts and securing your data.

Who should study this course?

Sage 50 Accounts – Stage 2 is suitable for those that understand the basic functions of Sage 50 Accounts but wish to develop their skills, and students who have previously completed the first stage in our range of Sage 50 Accounts courses.

What happens after this course?

Upon successful completion of this course, you will be able to perform a greater number of tasks with Sage 50 Accounts and have greater control over your finances. You’ll be able to utilise a range of invoice techniques and routines, keep supplier and customer records and safeguard your data using system backups, amongst other things.

Sage 50 Accounts – Stage 2 also prepares you to take your study further with more advanced Sage courses, such as Sage 50 Accounts – Stage 3 , for example.

  • Supplier invoices and credit notes: recording supplier invoices and supplier credit notes, calculating net function, viewing supplier and nominal account activity, nominal account integration and memorising invoices
  • Supplier payments and documentation: payment reports, recording supplier discounts and payments on account, allocating credit notes and payments on account, producing remittance advices and supplier cheques, viewing supplier and batch supplier transactions and introduction to e-banking 
  • Customer basic invoicing: entering and recording batch customer invoices, viewing customer activity, nominal account integration, generating quotes, invoices and credit notes, creating and duplicating service invoices and quotations and printing service invoices
  • Additional invoicing routines: negative values, net value discounts, deposits, cash sales and creating service credit notes
  • Customer receipts, refunds and contra entries: using automatic allocation, posting customer receipts and customer payments on account, customer activity and foreign currency receipts, customer refunds, contra entries and using Sage Pay
