About the Sage 50 Accounts – Stage 4 Certificate

This course has been designed to help you control your stock effectively using Sage 50 Accounts and use your stock system to generate sales and purchase orders. It will guide you through the advanced capabilities of Sage Accounts, including the processing of sales and purchase orders and the creation of quotations, pro forma invoices, sales invoices and sales credit notes.

 

Who should study this course?

This Sage training course is for both new and existing users of Sage Accounts who require an in-depth knowledge of the core functionality of the software. It is also suitable for students who have previously completed Sage 50 Account Stage 1 , Stage 2 and Stage 3 that wish to develop a complete Accounts skillset.

What happens after this course?

Upon successful completion of this course, you will unlock the full features of Sage 50 Accounts and master the use of the software. You’ll possess an understanding of advanced Accounts features (e.g. foreign trading) and be able to do everything from planning a stock system and producing a product record to creating a bill of materials.   • Planning a stock system: product categories and defaults and planning product codes 
  • Creating product records: editing and deleting records, batch editing and importing product records 
  • Cost of sales and opening balances: stocks and cost of sales, nominal opening stock values, product record opening balances and how to correct these balances
  • Prepare for purchase order processing: multiple delivery addresses, supplier price lists and discounts, purchase order details and re-order list requests
  • Purchase order processing: purchase order cycle, placing, delivering, and cancelling orders, viewing GRNs and updating the ledgers
  • Customer discounts: discount on quantity sold and invoice value, settlement, one-off and net value discounts and discount settings 
  • Prepare for sales order processing: customer delivery addresses, assigning a price list to customers, foreign currency price lists, special customer prices and negative stock
  • Sales order processing: sales order cycle, print and email orders, allocating sales orders, introduction to shortfalls, printing labels and GDNs, despatching, amending, completing and deleting orders
