By the age of 14, 50% of identified issues become established, meaning that those individuals will need further support in later life.
This course will help you to understand the challenges facing children and young people regarding mental health issues. You will also study the impact of those issues and how to maintain good mental health and wellbeing in children and young people.
You will study what factors can affects children and young people’s mental health, the ways in which those issues can change their lives and how to effectively support them through it.
This qualification will allow you to progress onto further qualifications and into employment within the health, social care and education sectors.

Each unit is followed by a group of assessment questions, designed to test your knowledge of the information you have read, researched and digested throughout that piece of learning.
Once you have completed each unit assessment, you will submit them to your tutor for marking.
You cannot fail this course, but your tutor may highlight areas where they need a little more information to ensure you fully understand each area, in order to pass.
